Law graduate, Daniel O’Carroll is on the current IGNITE programme  and is very interested in a career in journalism.  He has written for university publications and has also worked as an intern in IrishCentral.com the newspaper hub of Niall O’Dowd in New York.

The INITE Graduate Business Innovation Centre is now recruiting for next year’s programme starting in October.  The open information evening takes place next Wednesday, 2nd May in Boole 1 at 6pm.

Daniel’s advice to prospective participants is:

  • “I would recommend that those looking to apply for this year’s intake have a very clear idea of what it is that they intend doing for the programme.”

  • “People pitching a number of prospective ideas, which they intend whittling down to one after the interview stage, aren’t going to impress the assessment panel when they pitch their idea during the summer”.

Further information about the programme is available from the IGNITE website http://ignite.ucc.ie email: ignite@ucc.ie.  or contact Miriam Collins, IGNITE Programme Manager on 021-4902823.
